Mutt'n Bustin'

-
Open to children age 4 - 7, with parental consent. All sheep riders must wear a helmet.
-
A table with a 'Draw Barrel' will be set up in the Kid Zone area of the Rodeo Grounds on Saturday, August 22, 2026. Parents or guardians may enter their child’s name into the draw (before 1:30 p.m.) for a chance to ride a sheep. At this point, they are not necessarily going to be riding a sheep; they are simply entered into the draw for a CHANCE TO RIDE A SHEEP>
-
After 1:30 p.m., 15 names will be drawn. Those names will be announced, and participants and their parents or guardians will return to the table where they entered the draw to fill out the waiver forms and receive a wrist band.
-
Mutt’n Bustin’ will take place during intermission. Prior to the event, participants will be asked to gather at the table once again, where they will form a line and be led to the rodeo arena to take turns getting on a sheep. People will be there to help them on the sheep, and a bull fighter will run along side of them while they ride and will then help them get off.

Thank you to the Didsbury Fire Department for sponsoring the Mutt'n Bustin' event again in 2026.
Prior to the start of the Mutt'n Bustin in 2026, we will be honouring a couple of Ag. Society supporters we lost this year. While we understand that riding a sheep is very exciting and that can be difficult to contain, we thank everyone for their respect and patience while we pay tribute.
